Stronger in E-Commerce: Zalando’s customers choose where and when to pick up in Italy

60% of those who make purchases online consider the possibility of choosing where the product will be delivered very important, while 49% give the same importance to the choice of delivery time. To meet these last mile customization needs, it is important to offer solutions that allow customers to pick up their items at any time. No one better than Poste Italiane can respond to this need, from which the partnership with Zalando, the leading European online platform for fashion and lifestyle, was born.

The agreement with the leading platform for fashion makes 12,000 post offices, 7,300 small shops, 200 affiliated stores and 350 lockers available to e-shoppers.

The new collaboration aims to extend flexibility in a best-in-class convenience offer to Italians who shop online. Customers who make a purchase on zalando.it will be able to collect and return parcels at one of the approximately 12,000 certified post offices of Poste Italiane, as well as thanks to the Punto Poste network consisting of over 7,300 tobacconists, 200 affiliated stores and 350 lockers across the country. With the new pick-up option, Zalando customers will be able to decide when and where to pick up and return products according to their needs and habits, for example, going to the office, on the way home in the evening or on Saturdays.
